Decorate Your Home In Proportion
Proportion: Balance your room by placing large pieces of furniture in your neighborhood. If possible, use items, such as libraries and senior antique clock, and is on the opposite side to avoid one-sided view of space. Then add small pieces such as tables in the room where they are comfortable and attractive. If you have a small furniture or decorative items, group them in odd numbers one, three or five items together.
Color: Natural colors like white, cream, brown, green and blue, are usually neutral in the decorative scheme. Black serves as the basis and should be kept to small parts.
Large areas such as walls, preferably with a lighter color. A dark color or contrast can be used on the wall for dramatic effect. Try using warm colors like pink, peach or mauve. O painted with soothing colors such as blue or green. Remember, if you do not like, you can always paint over the surface!
Floors: Floors can be covered with wood, tile or carpet, the same color as the wall or even darker than the wall color. You can add area rugs to add interest, color, or texture. Carpets also serve as protection against soil and trademarks.
Accents: These include small pieces and decorative items of personal interest. Save the collection together in an area to emphasize its uniqueness. Collection of small items can be placed on the tray or withdraw shown in the table. You also might consider using aircraft as a few decorative items for the walls, especially if you’re limited by space.
