Frugal Decorating
We all want a home that is special and unique, but not everyone can afford all the decorations that appear on the covers of style magazines. Good news! Podes decorate your home with nice things even if you have even a low budget. My mother always said you can make a house look good spending little or nothing. Well, let me give you my strategies of decoration and they will be able to run to you too.
The first thing you have to do is create a list. Do not give up on this step because this is going to be fun. Put everything on the list you want to buy for your home, no matter how much it costs and get ready to start decorating.
The thrift shops and garage sales are my favorite places to buy items for the home. The saying “what one man’s trash is another person’s treasure” is actually true. You can find many exclusive and unique things you spend a little time and look. There are times when one item purchased at a garage sale or a thrift shop being worth thousands of dollars ends or dollars. What I mean is that there are real opportunities in garage sales or thrift shops.
Reuse and recycle. Look around your house before you buy. Think what you can do with that object or that one. Can it be repainted? Can you use those curtains to pillow cases? Use your imagination and be creative. What I do is grab jars and fill with anything, I put a tape over and around the house accommodation.
If you find a beautiful vase or something you really want in a store online or at a store expensive, why not stick around for a shop to see if you can find something like it? Nobody will know where you bought it.
When I go to garage sales, my own weakness are the shelves. The master, the more beautiful the better. I use them for candles or for objects that are likely to buy from a thrift shop or a garage sale. The baskets are another great tool of decoration. You can go crazy decorating them and then use them to magazines, to keep your children’s toys, etc..
These are just some ideas I used to decorate my house. The reason to do list is that you can find items cheaper at garage sales or thrift shops. Do not buy anything new until you tour your neighborhood and you find all objects in the list. I strongly believe that inexpensive items have the potential to be something special. After adding your own technique, you’ll have a home that reflects your style and personality while saving money segues your bank account.
